Call for Tutorial Proposals

Submission Deadline: 31 August 2021 (CLOSED)

The IEEE/MTS OCEANS2022 Conference will be held in Chennai, a coastal city in south India, from 21 February 2022 to 24 February 2022.  The conference is sponsored by the IEEE and MTS societies and jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT). The theme of the conference is INSPIRE, INNOVATE and SUSTAIN.  Details of the conference can be found on the conference website https://chennai22.oceansconference.org/. As part of pre-conference activity, up to six tutorial sessions are planned to be held on 21 February 2022.  The tutorials can be either a full day sessions of six hour duration with three hour in the morning and three hour in the afternoon or half day sessions of three hour duration either in the morning or in the afternoon.  The sessions will be held virtually online. Conference registration is required for participation in the tutorial sessions.  With presenters providing rare insights into the subject and also covering both theoretical and practical aspects in sufficient depth, the tutorials are expected to benefit both academe and industry.

The Conference organizers of the conference, hereby issue the call for tutorial proposals in ocean science and engineering on any of the technical topics listed on https://chennai22.oceansconference.org/technical-topics/.  The proposal form to be completed is given on the next page.  Proposers are requested to email in the completed proposal form along with a 2 page curriculum vitae, both as pdf documents, to oceans2022chennai@gmail.com.  The last date to send in the proposal is 31 August 2021.

Please note that no honorarium will be paid to the tutorial presenters. Instead a free full-day registration will be offered to full-day tutorial presenters and 50% discount on one full-day registration for half-day tutorial presenters.  The local organizing committee will evaluate the proposals and select the topics (and presenters) for the tutorials.
